Since May 2023, I’ve had the privilege of serving as the Director of Community Development with God Said Go Missions. In this role, I lead Bible studies, pastoral education, and leadership training for village pastors and community leaders. I also coordinate our ministry calendar—organizing clinics, Kids Clubs, teaching sessions, and service projects that help us bring hope to communities across Guatemala.
At every village clinic, I make it a point to sit with pastors and leaders—listening, counseling, and praying for their personal and spiritual needs. These moments remind me why God called me here: to strengthen those who shepherd others.
I grew up in Stone Mountain, Georgia, and spent eight years in the United States Marine Corps, followed by two decades in business development within the defense industry. But then, I clearly heard God calling me to a different kind of mission—His mission. As part of my preparation, I began learning Spanish and moved to Antigua, Guatemala, to attend full-time language school. It was there that God confirmed His plan: Guatemala was not just a stop on my journey—it was my mission field.

One of the moments that stands out most to me happened in 2024, in a village called La Sabana. During one of our visits, the local pastor told me about a woman named Christina who had been suffering from severe gastritis for nearly a year and was close to death. Pastor Tony and I went to her home to pray—asking God for healing, for renewed appetite and strength, and for His presence to fill their lives and home.
When we returned weeks later, I asked, “How is Christina?” The pastor smiled and said, “Let’s go see her.” When we walked into her home, Christina’s face was glowing. She smiled, color restored to her cheeks, and as she reached out to hug me, she said, “He healed me!” It was one of those unforgettable moments when heaven touches earth—a vivid reminder of God’s power and compassion at work among His people.
I spent 28 years serving my country and those who serve it. Now, I’m on active duty for God, serving the people of Guatemala.
Every day in Guatemala, I’m reminded of the deep physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the people we serve—and of how great our God is to meet them. I spent 28 years serving my country and those who serve it. Now, I’m on active duty for God, serving the people of Guatemala. And while I will go wherever He calls, my prayer is that He continues to use me here—to bring healing, hope, and the love of Jesus to this beautiful nation.
