New Year, New Opportunities: Exploring New Village Partnerships in Jutiapa

After a much-needed rest over the holidays, our God Said Go Missions team is back and ready to step into another year of purpose, ministry, and service. We know the road ahead will hold challenges, but we move forward covered by God’s mercy and grace—and filled with anticipation for what He has in store.

To kick off the year, Shawn, Pastor Tony Liborio, Rocío, and Christian traveled to Pasaco, Jutiapa for an important meeting with three local pastors:

  • Pastor Tony, serving in Aldea La Estancia
  • Pastor Edvin, from Aldea Placentas in Santa Rosa (who arrived later and missed the photo!)
  • Pastor Josué, leading in Aldea Potrerios

These faithful leaders are serving in communities facing serious economic challenges—villages where families struggle to meet even their basic needs. As we listened to their stories, it became clear: these could be the next villages where God is calling us to serve.

We’re prayerfully considering expanding our ministry to these areas, potentially launching:

  • Medical Clinics to provide essential healthcare access
  • Discipleship Programs to nurture and equip local believers
  • Children’s Ministry Outreach to share hope and joy with the next generation

Our meeting was full of shared vision and hope for what God can do when churches come together across communities and cultures.

We’re especially grateful to Rocío for gathering all the key details and helping us map out what the next steps might look like as we evaluate how best to serve.

At God Said Go Missions, every new partnership begins the same way—with prayer, listening, and trust in God’s leading. We’re excited about the possibility of working alongside these pastors and their churches to bring hope, healing, and the love of Jesus to these villages in the months ahead.

Thank you for your ongoing prayers and support as we begin another year of ministry. Together, we’ll continue saying “yes” wherever God says, “Go.”
