Every week brings us closer to opening day at Centro Médico Vida Plena, and this week’s update is one of the most exciting yet!
Inside the clinic, the transformation is undeniable. The beautiful new tile floors are being laid throughout the entire building, giving it a fresh, clean, and professional look. Our builders even re-leveled the concrete by hand — a labor of love to ensure every room is ready for patients.
Each exam room now has its own air conditioner, with nine total units being installed throughout the clinic. The compressors are already mounted outside, and piping is being completed. Combined with new ceiling fans in the waiting area, every patient will be able to stay cool and comfortable.
We’ve also received our CAT6 networking cables and Wi-Fi receivers shipped in from the U.S., which means our doctors and nurses will have reliable internet access throughout the building. Add in new lighting, a covered walkway for patients, and a few clever Guatemalan-style door handles — and the picture of what’s to come is getting clearer every day.
“The vision that we had is coming to light,” Jeff shared in this week’s video. “You can really start to see this place — it’s all coming together.”
With about 60% of the funding raised and $55,000 still needed, we’re pressing forward in faith. Each donation, large or small, helps bring healthcare, hope, and the love of Christ to families in Escuintla.
Together, we’re building more than a medical center — we’re building a legacy of hope.
❤️ Help us finish strong.
Your gift will help fund the final stages of construction and open the doors to a brighter, healthier future for families in need.
