GSG Gear is live — twenty items, all carrying the logo.

Twenty Items. Twenty Percent. One Very Practical Idea.

Anyone who has run a nonprofit knows the uncomfortable math. You spend a great deal of your energy asking. Ask for the clinic. Ask for the medications. Ask again next quarter, because the need didn’t go away and neither did the budget.

We’ve never been comfortable with that model. Not because asking is wrong — partners who give make this work possible, and we’re grateful for every one of them. But because a mission that can only survive by asking harder every year isn’t sustainable. It’s fragile.

So we keep looking for ways to fund the work that don’t depend on the next appeal. The clinic in Escuintla is one. Here’s another.

GSG Gear is live

We’ve partnered with GivMoo to launch our own online store, and it’s open now.

There are 20 items available today, all carrying the GSG Missions logo — hats, coffee mugs, water bottles, hoodies, t-shirts, and more. 20% of every purchase comes back to GSG Missions. Shipping is free within the U.S. on orders over $50.

Why twenty percent is worth your attention

Twenty percent doesn’t sound dramatic. Let me tell you why we think it is.

A mobile medical clinic in a village doesn’t run on good intentions. It runs on fuel, medications, supplies, and the staff who show up. Every one of those has a price, and the price arrives every month whether or not a donation does.

The value of revenue like this isn’t the size of any single purchase. It’s that it’s recurring and self-generating. A hoodie sold in November doesn’t require us to run a campaign in November. Enough of them, month over month, becomes something we can actually plan around — and planning is what lets us commit to a village for years instead of hoping quarter to quarter.

That’s the whole strategy at GSG Missions. Build things that generate their own fuel, so the giving our partners do goes further and lasts longer.

The part the store can’t do by itself

There’s a second thing happening here, and it might matter more than the twenty percent.

Every one of those twenty items has our logo on it. A water bottle on a desk in Texas. A hoodie at a soccer game in Utah. A mug in an office kitchen where someone asks, “What’s GSG Missions?”

That’s a conversation we can’t buy and can’t schedule. It just happens — every time someone wears the thing. For a mission working in villages most people will never visit, being visible in the places our supporters actually live is worth real money.

What this is not

It’s not a substitute for partnership. Buying a t-shirt won’t replace the people who fund a village clinic or sponsor a student, and we’re not going to pretend otherwise.

It’s an addition. It’s a way for someone who can’t write a check this year to still move the mission forward — and for those who already give, a way to add something on top that costs nothing extra.

How to start

Go to godsaidgo.org/gsg-gear and look around. Twenty items, free U.S. shipping over $50. Pick up something you’ll actually use, or grab a couple as gifts and let them do the talking for you.

Then tell one person. Honestly, that’s the part that makes this work. A store nobody knows about funds nothing.
