Elizabeth and I had the privilege of going to Guatemala with our best friends and their church members for a medical and children’s ministry mission trip for Spring Break. We fell in love with the people of Guatemala and made some great friends along the way.
We went to 2 of the 12 villages they support for clinics and we returned the next day with bags of food. Over 250 people between both villages heard the presentation of the Gospel. We were able to go into the homes of some of the villagers and pray with them and their prayer needs are not unlike our own. We really are more alike than we are different.
We took a tour of churches in Antigua from the 1500s and 1600s. We ate great food! There are 4 volcanoes near Antigua and Fuego erupted on 3/9/25 while we were there. No fatalities but the road closure made us travel further to go around it. We were able to love on some ladies who have aged out of an orphanage and are in school to become self-sufficient.
If you are looking for a ministry to support, check out God Said Go! They do sooo much to meet not only spiritual needs but also physical and emotional needs as well!
