Construction is officially underway—and exciting changes are happening at Centro Médico Vida Plena! 🚧✨
What was once an old school building is being transformed into a state-of-the-art medical center that will bring affordable, quality healthcare to families in Escuintla and surrounding communities.
One of the most inspiring parts of this journey has been watching Pastor Esvin step in to help. Many of you already know him from our recent video about building a home for his family near his church in El Rodeo. But what you might not know is that he is a mason by trade.
To support him, we hired Pastor Esvin and his team to complete the preliminary concrete work. They worked tirelessly—day and night, even sleeping on the floor of the building—to knock down walls, close off unnecessary windows and doors, and create new access points for the clinic. In just three days, they completely reshaped the space!
With input from our advisors, we also made some important adjustments to the layout:
Moving the waiting room into the larger courtyard area
Expanding the pharmacy
Adding an office and an employee bathroom
The new design will allow the clinic to run more efficiently and create a welcoming environment for patients and staff alike.
And now for the big announcement—after weeks of reviewing quotes and negotiating, we have officially hired Carlos, our general contractor, who will oversee the remainder of the remodel. This is a huge step forward toward opening day!
Every wall that comes down and every doorway that’s built brings us closer to a future where families can access life-saving healthcare close to home. Thank you for standing with us and making this possible!
