Ministry doesn’t just happen in the villages—it starts long before we load the trucks or gather supplies. Every month, our dedicated team comes together for a monthly team meeting, where we plan, pray, and prepare for the work ahead.
This month’s meeting felt especially exciting as we prepared to welcome our friends from Celebration Baptist Church in Florida for their 4th annual mission trip with us! For an entire week, they’ll be joining us in Guatemala as we serve together in villages, host medical clinics, share the Gospel, and meet practical needs. There’s nothing quite like the energy that comes from knowing partners are on their way to stand beside us.
During these team meetings, we do more than just plan logistics. We share updates, encourage one another, and ensure that every part of the mission is running smoothly—from food distribution to medical outreach to spiritual ministry. Sometimes that planning happens in person, and sometimes it happens across screens—like this month, with Nurse Becky, Shawn, and Dennis joining in via Google Meet to stay connected from afar.
And because ministry is about relationships, not just work, there’s always a little fun mixed in. Right now, that fun comes in the form of homemade baked goods—courtesy of our full-time Nurse Practitioner and part-time baker, Marty! Every outreach and team meeting seems to come with a sweet surprise, so if we look like we’ve been “well-fed,” you can blame Marty! 😂
We’re so thankful for a team that works hard, laughs together, and supports one another as we press forward in this calling.
Please keep praying for:
- Our upcoming week of outreach with Celebration Baptist
- Safe travels for their team
- Strength and wisdom as we plan, serve, and share the love of Jesus in new villages
At God Said Go Missions, we believe in working together, praying together, and sometimes… baking together. Thank you for standing with us as we continue to build hope, one meeting and one mission trip at a time.
