A Life Changed: Doña Blanca’s Journey to Health in San José la Montaña

In a small mountain village called San José la Montaña, a woman named Doña Blanca greets our team each month with a joyful smile—and a heart full of gratitude.

For the past year and a half, she’s been faithfully attending our monthly medical clinic, and the transformation in her health has been nothing short of remarkable. When we first met her, Doña Blanca weighed only 110 pounds—a sign of deeper nutritional and health challenges. But thanks to regular care, monitoring, prayer, and encouragement, she’s gained strength, stability, and 17 healthy pounds. Today, she proudly weighs 127 pounds—and her joy is contagious.

As Rachel Reyes, one of our local team leaders, shared:

“Doña Blanca is so happy that her health has improved. She is very grateful for the monthly clinic, and today she was pleased with a new pair of reading glasses.”

It may seem like a small gesture to some, but that simple pair of reading glasses opened up a new level of independence for her. The ability to read, sew, study her Bible, or simply enjoy daily tasks again—these are life-giving changes made possible by the ongoing generosity of our supporters.

This is what we mean when we say that healing goes beyond medicine. It’s about relationships, trust, consistency, and meeting people where they are with the love of Jesus.

Why It Matters

In rural areas like San José la Montaña, women like Doña Blanca often go without basic healthcare for years—if not their entire lives. But through the God Said Go medical clinics, supported by our donors and volunteers, people are finding not only treatment—but also hope, dignity, and renewed strength.

Thank you for being part of stories like Doña Blanca’s.
Every gift, every prayer, and every act of kindness matters.

Together, we are changing lives—one patient, one village, one pair of reading glasses at a time.
